Silver Springs-Martin Luther School
Silver Springs-Martin Luther School is an outgrouth of a children's program started in 1859 as an orphanage in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. It has evolved into a comprehensive, mutiple service agency, and since 1972, has been located on a picturesque, 36 acre campus in Plymouth Meeting. A second Residential Treatment facility was opened in 1993 at 6970 Germantown Avenue in the Germantown/Mount Airy section of Philadelphia. Through Residential Treatment, Foster Family Care, Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, and a Special Education School, Silver Springs serves troubled children and their families from the greater metropolitan Philadelphia area.
