OCTOBER & NOVEMBER 2025
The season after Pentecost, often referred to as "Ordinary Time," not ordinary as in nothing special but rather "Orderly Time," with lessons and worship themes in roughly the order they occur in Scripture, continues through October and concludes in November. The final few weeks of this season are punctuated by three festivals: Reformation / Confirmation Sunday (October 26), All Saints' Sunday (November 2), and Christ the King Sunday (November 23), the last Sunday of the church year. The new church year begins with the First Sunday of Advent (November 30), the time of preparation and anticipation of the birth of Jesus.
