NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2025
The new church year begins with the First Sunday of Advent (November 30), the four-week time of preparation and anticipation of the birth of Jesus, culminating on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. With the New Year (on the calendar) begins the season of Epiphany. The word means an appearance or manifestation, and in our context it marks the first appearances of Jesus: The arrival of the Magi from the East, Jesus's baptism, and the beginning of His ministry.
Also the New Year marks Advent's Annual Congregation Meeting on Sunday, January 25. There will be one worship service at 9:30 am, followed by the Annual Meeting at 10:45, and a luncheon thereafter.
